Interview conducted by Deborah Lewis as part of the LDS Native-American Oral History Project by the Charles Redd Center for Western Studies at Brigham Young University on January 1, 1990. Baptisto talks about his early life on the Salt River Reservation in Arizona. He describes his family's membership in the Mormon Church. He tells about his marriage and family life. Baptisto relocated to Los Angeles following World War II. He describes his experiences as a Mormon and feelings about the excommunication of George P. Lee.
